Smart story: No Shortcuts to Success
When you try to do smart work without putting in the hard work,
you end up doing short work, which eventually short circuits everything!
During 2009, I had known a junior from my college, who was also working but in a different company. We both wanted to start a side project, we decided to make eco-friendly Ganesh idols and demonstrate it in her company. Throughout the project, I noticed her contribution to the project was nothing but lip service. In the end, rather than us creating an eco-friendly idol together (which she was supposed to primarily handle), I got it done from a local artisan. Stakeholders praised our eco-friendly idol and our intention.
After the event, she took pride in her so-called managerial skills, claiming she had successfully overseen the project and made me work!
She assumed I was a fool who would keep doing all the work without any effort from her (My managers already have taken those exclusive rights😀). Therefore, I chose to avoid any future collaboration with her.
