Scam story: Need guidance regarding IPO allotment!

I got two calls today from a girl. She said someone had given her my number. 

She claimed to have been allotted ₹1 crore worth of IPO shares but were short of ₹35 lakhs. She sought my guidance. First time, I disconnected. The second time, I asked her how I could assist her but requested she be quick to the point as I had a client deliverable to complete. 

She asked if I could lend them the money, promising to share the profits. I jokingly told her to come and collect the money.

When she asked where to meet, I suggested the Kondhwa Police station. There was a moment of silence, and then she hung up.

I felt sorry for the scammer. She didn't realize that if I had even a tenth of ₹35 lakh to spare, I wouldn’t be working on a Friday of a long weekend. 🙂
