Recently, AnantAmbani, the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani, who chairs and runs the $110 billion (revenue) Reliance Industries, delivered an emotional speech emphasizing the importance of health. When this message comes from Anant, it undeniably establishes the fact that health is above wealth. My heartfelt wishes go out to him on his marriage, along with prayers for his continued well-being.
I’ve heard this phrase since childhood, but it truly resonated with me in 2012 when I experienced constant chest pain for two weeks. Upon visiting a cardiologist, there was an incorrect interpretation, and I was informed that I was on the verge of a heartattack. During those anxious two days, I received all sorts of advice: avoid laughing loudly, jogging, running, and consuming oily food.
However, once the results were out, revealing severe acidity as the cause, I took the message to heart (literally!) and have been jogging consistently over the weekends for the past 12 years. Whenever I consider skipping a weekend jog, I vividly recall my false heart attack scare and promptly hit the pavement again.
Remember, health truly is our greatest wealth!
