Data story: "Data is the new oil which powers the engine of AI/ML"

In 2012, I began my post B-School career in the marketing team at KPIT, where I created two presentations a week. 1/3 of my efforts were spent gathering data from online research and automotive datasets and 2/3 in visualization.

In 2015, I switched to ZS, where all my efforts were on data processing to produce monthly reports. Visualization was pre-set in PowerPoint or the MicroStrategy platform. 

From 2021, at EVERSANA, data processing is fully automated, with Tableau dashboards refreshing daily. Hardly any effort is required for data processing or visualization.

As of 2024 and looking ahead, the pharmaceutical industry is increasingly adopting Machine Learning models to predict the next best action. Artificial intelligence is playing a significant role in generating insights. Previously, we used to inform clients about upcoming technologies; now, clients themselves inquire if any ML models are applied in the analysis. And AI/ML is where efforts are expected to be spent.

When I shared with my wife, she responded, 

“When will you spend "efforts" to learn to cook ‘Khichadi’ (a spicy rice preparation) for me?” 🤐
