Client story: "Time is of essence!"

This morning, an idea struck me: creating a scorecard (visually appealing) for the IC dashboard. The current dashboard displays goals, sales, % attainment, and payouts by territory in a tabular format. 

When I asked the team in the afternoon, "Can we develop the IC scorecard", 

response was "Yes". 

Then I mumbled softly, "By today evening!" And there was sudden silence and then burst of laughter. 

However, we had an urgent client demo scheduled for the evening, and the IC scorecard would undoubtedly impress the client. 

Team enthusiastically embraced the challenge and prepared a demo. 

The client’s verdict? “I like it!”

Often, time is of essence, and completing a task promptly - even with some limitations - is more valuable than waiting for 100% perfection later on.
