Last week was a whirlwind. Work deadlines loomed large, and despite our team's best efforts, things didn't quite click on weekdays. From a professional standpoint, it felt like a series of setbacks.
On Saturday, I headed to my farm, both to deliver some plants and check on preparations for the upcoming rains. With a late Friday night at the office, I started late and reached by 3 PM. My plan was to unwind with a jog on the nearby road. Unfortunately, heavy rain turned the last stretch into a mud path, threatening to trap the car (Pune got highest rainfall of 100mm in a day on Jun 8th 2024). After reaching the paved road, disappointment surged - not only a tough workweek, but now I couldn't even jog.
Feeling the weight of the week's frustrations, I started mentally adding "jogging failure" to the pile. But then, I stopped myself. All I needed for a jog was the shoes on my feet. Right there, on the side of the road, I veered off the path and into a nearby wooded area, starting a spontaneous jog.
Fifteen minutes later, I emerged feeling refreshed and triumphant. It wasn't about the perfect setting; it was about taking control and finding a small victory within a challenging week. It was a reminder that even amidst setbacks, we can still choose to rise above.
