Tasks story: Choose battles to fight!

COEP Technological University, I used to engage in every battle, whether it was responding to sarcasm or getting a refund for a low-value faulty product. This approach made me a hero in the eyes of others. However, much like Hitler’s strategy in World War II where he fought each battle for his ego, this method was driven by external factors and often disrupted my schedule and tasks.

Since 2021, I’ve adopted a different approach inspired by Winston Churchill. When German forces were about to surrender Dunkirk, Churchill chose to retreat rather than reinforce the trapped 338,000 British troops, saving his resources for another day.

Similarly, I’ve learned to let go of arguments and opposing views with colleagues, junior team members, other teams, parents, relatives, or friends. This way, I focus on the task at hand and avoid wasting energy and resources on battles where the outcome is inevitably a loss.
