IQVIA Xponent Dataset -

It's the most detailed prescriber level prescription information at national or sub-national level to determine how bricks or territories are performing in terms of sales. It determines the right set of customers for your brand to target. It is more of projected data with 95% to 98% accuracy that is recorded using sell out data (data recorded using prescription written by doctor in retail pharmacies). 

Explaining in easy way, suppose there are 1000 doctors (HCPs) in any territory but out of 1000 to determine which HCPs are prescribing more at overall market level and prescribing which product or brand more. 

Data Availability - In US, prescription level as well as sales level data is available whereas in Europe only sales data is available that is directly calculated from TRx data. 

It is called projected data because 

1. First we identify the potential panel stores from which we capture the actual total TRx (New + refill prescriptions) 

2. Then we identify the non-panel stores that are close to panel stores based on minimum distance

3. Finally, we project the TRx for for non-panel stores based upon TRx of panel stores

4. Captured TRx (panel stores) + Projected TRx (non-panel stores) will give you the total TRx for that brick/ territory

Uses- Xponent data is used for multiple projects like prescriber profiling, segmentation, Incentive Compensation, Territory alignment, etc.
