Intelligence story: अक्ल बड़ी या भैंस - Intelligence is bigger or buffalo (physical strength)?

In 1995, when I was 10 years old, I was playing with my 4-year-old cousin at our grandparents' farmhouse. We were near a buffalo, a typically docile and lazy animal, which was standing and eating grass. I was on the back right side of the buffalo, and my cousin was on the back left.

Suddenly, the buffalo took a step forward and accidentally stepped on my cousin's foot. He screamed in pain, and I rushed to his side, trying to lift the rear left leg of the half-ton buffalo. However, she remained stationary, oblivious to the issue, continuing to munch on the grass. Hearing our cries, the adults quickly came to our rescue.

After applying medicine to his swollen foot and ensuring everything was under control, the adults started laughing at my attempt to lift the buffalo's leg. Feeling guilty for not paying attention and causing my cousin's injury, I asked what else I could have done?

Someone replied, "Just touch the buffalo at the back and nudge her slightly to move forward." That's exactly what the adults did and these docile animals do comply!

This experience answered the question for me: अक्ल बड़ी या भैंस? And I proved भैंस is bigger 😉
