The cornerstone of data analysis lies in the input files. For those received on a daily (or any regular timeline) basis, grasping the distinction between the dates of data receipt and availability is crucial.

Consider a scenario where there’s a two-day delay in data; this implies that the file obtained today, which is Wednesday (07/24), contains information up until two days prior, namely Monday (07/22). When communicating with the client, it’s essential to clarify that the file received on the current day, Wednesday the 24th, encompasses data up to Monday the 22nd.

This essentially means that the complete data for July 2024 will be available on Friday, August 2nd, 2024. Consequently, any subsequent processing can commence only after this date, not on August 1st, 2024.
